2013 seems to be the year of the reunions for Ryan Gosling with Only God Forgives sees him working with Nicolas Winding Refn once again first time since the uber cool Drive. so its of no surprise this year he will be working again with another familiar face Derek Cianfrance with The Place Beyond The Pines and Studiocanal has have sent us the official UK trailer for your visual entertainment.

The Place Beyond The Pines tells the story of bleach blonde pro motorcyclist Luke (Gosling) whose life is turned upside down when he is unexpectedly becomes faces fatherhood thanks to a previous relationship. Now having to support a family  Luke must face the reality ho can he support them? He takes the choice to go back to his old ways robs banks which sees his path collide with ambitious rookie cop Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper) when honesty and venality go out the window.

Buzz is a big  favourite word when you talk about Ryan Gosling film and The Place Beyond The Pines does have comparisons between Drive especially as our protagonist is committing crime on wheels tough only 2 this time instead of four with tattoos instead of the scorpion jacket. Whilst Blue Valentine concentrated on the relationships  between man and woman this one its all about father and son relationships but don’t expect things to be all out sentimental , its emotional with a more robust nature. Intertwining the relationships into a gritty crime drama  throw in Ray Liotta been his usual corrupt character The Place Beyond The Pines might just provide the excitement Derek Cianfrance’s fans have been eagerly waiting for since Blue Valentine.

The Place Beyond The Pines also stars  Dane DeHaan, Rose Byrne,Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Ben Mendleshon, Bruce Greenwood, and will be released in UK&Ireland 12th April 2013 (USA 29th March 2013).
