Watch The New The Martian ‘Ares Archive’ Promo

The next month we hope to bring Matt Damon ‘Home’ when The Martian arrives in UK cinemas, today we have a look at a brand new clip from the Ares Archive. In this exclusive new video found in the Ares archive called ‘The Right Stuff’ we meet the NASA crew members as they emerge following 10 days training in isolation.

In The Martian during a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, Watney must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney’s safe return.

Last week we found out Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi is set for a Toronto Film Festival world premiere hence today we have this new promo video.We meet the crew of Ares 3 ship been interviewed to find out there wellbeing leaving us with after thoughts on Aquaman (Damon) and lines from Goodfellas (Michael Pena).Jessica Chastain gives our thoughts on the mission been piloted by a woman, equality for all.

After the engrossing first trailer our hopes that this will mark the return to form for Ridley Scott in sci-fi genre. I enjoyed Prometheus but many didn’t so many hope the plotholes from that film will be filled when this one comes. With the film set for a world premiere in Toronto one of the leading film festivals is possibly a sign things are positive. With it been a popular novel the film will studied at an even higher critical level to make sure adaptation page for page like adaptation.

The Martian also stars Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Donald Glover with a new UK release date of 30th September (USA 2nd October).
