With the world’s cinephiles in a state of mourning (smirk!!!!)that Twilight Saga final ever film arriving in cinemas this Friday, Twihards will be wondering what life is like without Bella and Edward on the big screen. Before you set up meetings with your local therapist for counselling your Goddess in writing Stephanie Meyer has your perfect cure with The Host and tonight we have the film’s second official trailer.

Set in the distant future the human race is virtually been wiped out thanks to an invasion of parasitic aliens who are taking over the Human race. Melanie (Saorise Ronan) is one of the very few human survivors fighting against these aliens who want to wipe the memories of those survivors.

The typical Twilight style melodramatics are in play here which will please the Twihard with the a love triangle which will probably scare off any film fans willing to give the author another chance. We do love the Dystopian setting and Gattica is on the favorites list however this potentially on the cv might look a damp squib, but a cash cow for the studio, but he can’t complain looks better than In Time.

From Stephenie Meyer (author of  THE TWILIGHT SAGA) comes THE HOST, a love story set in the future, where Earth is occupied by a species who erase the minds of their human hosts, leaving their bodies intact. Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) is one of the last surviving humans who fights back, risking her life for the people she cares about most โ€“ Jared (Max Irons), Ian, (Jake Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (William Hurt) โ€“ proving that love can conquer all.

The Host will be released 29th March 2013 and also stars Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Krugerand William Hurt!
