Watch The Harrowing Beasts Of No Nation Trailer Starring Idris Elba

We take it for granted a child should grow up as a child in Beasts Of No Nation its with a gun as a soldier and Idris Elba as a African Warlord, watch trailer. Ahead of it’s world premiere in Venice then Toronto Cary Fukunaga’s war drama first teaser lands in Netflix’s foray into theatrical distribution.

Beasts Of No Nation is based on the highly acclaimed novel by Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala, bringing to life the gripping tale of Agu, a child soldier torn from his family to fight in the civil war of an African country. Newcomer Abraham Attah gives a stunning portrayal of Agu, while Elba dominates the screen in the role of Commandant, a warlord who takes in Agu and instructs him in the ways of war.

Whilst the film is set for online release in UK as well as the rest of the world, in U.S it’s getting a limited theatrical release but the controversy been at same time on Netflix. This his marked many Cinema chains stateside have boycotted the film furthers the question of accessibility to films where you might be. It was only the matter of time before Netflix attempting to conquer film market, but here in UK many smaller independent films have simultaneously released new films.

As for the film itself the trailer delivers a harrowing, intense tone Elba as ever is powerful most of all a menacing figure . Young actor Abraham Attah who plays Abraham who the child soldier looks like he’ll deliver a fearless performance too. Beasts Of No Nation sadly will be watched more for how the film fares in it’s U.S cinematic release rather than the quality of the film. It’s going to be a landmark film which could shake up how Hollywood distributes its films and with the limited release it will be in the running for Awards in many categories.
