What if Peter Pan and Alice In Wonderland were in the same movie? Brenda Chapman‘s (Pixar’s Brave) fantasy adventure Come Away is that movie and Signature Entertainment have released the UK Trailer.

The film stars Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo as parents of 3 children. Two will grow to become Peter and Alice to overcome the tragedy that strikes and to help the parents.

You could argue this film could be seen as a ‘prequel’ to those iconic Lewis Carroll/ JM Barrie characters. It looks great escapism from todays worries and tribulations. Solid storytelling that will bring a smile to anyone’s face…

Directed by Brenda Chapman, the Oscar™-winning director and co-writer of Disney Pixar’s Brave and written by Kate Goodhill, COME AWAY is a whimsical and inspiring British made live-action fairy-tale. Starring David Oyelowo (Selma), Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle), Reece Yates (Les Miserables), Angelina Jolie (Maleficent), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight), and newcomers Keira Chansa and Jordan A. Nash (Aladdin), the film follows the adventures of siblings Alice and Peter who transform into Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland in a bid to help their parents – played by Oyelowo and Jolie – overcome the tragedy of losing their eldest son. Having received its world premiere earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival, the film has been described as “terrific” and “standout” by The Times, COME AWAY is a unique and ingeniously conceived prequel to two of the world’s most beloved and enduring pieces of children’s literature.

The film also stars Anna Chancellor, Clarke Peters, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Caine, David Gyasi, Reece Yates, Jordan A. Nash, and Keira Chansa.

Signature Entertainment presents Come Away in  UK and Irish Cinemas Nationwide 18th December.
