Boy meets ghoul, falls in love and in February you can watch that boy fall in love when Arrow premiere A Ghost Waits. Adam Stovall‘s heartfelt directorial feature debut delighted many festival goers in 2020, ahead if it’s channel debut Arrow have released the Official UK Trailer.
You could call this film a labour of love and when you hear Adam talk about it, you know it truly is. We were fortunate to have be at the film’s world premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival in March 2020, the directors was contagious. That strong you couldn’t stop smiling throughout the film and the standing ovation for the film at the end we could say the 400 people in the screen enjoyed it too.
The film story is simple, Jack has the task of cleaning out a house in time for the next tenants. One house always seems to wind up empty and Jack attempts to figure out why. Jack meet Muriel…a ghost!
Jack’s job is to fix up rental properties to make way for new tenants, but one property keeps winding up empty. Tasked with discovering why and fixing the issue, Jack meets Muriel…a ghost. Muriel’s job is to haunt the home and keep it vacant. They should be enemies but find they have a great deal in common…pulse notwithstanding. Having found a kindred spirit in an otherwise lonely existence, Jack and Muriel must fight for their newfound affection as pressure mounts for them each to fulfil their “cross-purposes”. A genre blending story with heart, humour, a little fear, and big questions.
The film stars MacLeod Andrews, Natalie Walker, Sydney Vollmer, and Amanda Miller.
A Ghost Awaits will be premiered exclusively on ARROW (formerly Arrow Video Channel) on 1st February. The film will be released in the UK and Ireland plus the U.S on Blu-Ray in May.
