Watch Tense New Clip For Dystopian Thriller Night Raiders

Looking at the world now with Covid-19 still interrupting  life, you wonder what life will be like in a few years. Will it be as grim as the Dystopian sci-fi thriller Night Raiders?

The film is executively produced by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, JoJo Rabbit) with Danis Goulet  who directs  as well as  written the script. The film stars Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers ,Alex Tarrant, Amanda Plummer and Brooklyn Letexier-Hart.

In this one we find ourselves in the near future, North America has been ravaged by war. Now ruled by the military , a mother searches for her daughter who has been taken by the state.

Today Signature Entertainment have sent us a tense new clip, in that clip there seems to be a stand off…

Night Raiders is a relentless and thought-provoking, dystopian thriller from executive producer Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, JoJo Rabbit), which stars Alex Tarrant (The Lord of the Rings TV Series) and Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire). In 2043, in post-war North America, a desperate woman joins an underground band of vigilantes to infiltrate a military-occupied institution to rescue her daughter who has become property of the state.

From the clip and the trailer, Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men certainly Goulet’s inspiration which is a bleak film. Goulet is a Saskatchewan-born Cree/Métis filmmaker and the has a social commentary on Canada’s indigenous peoples too. What is truly making these films even more terrifying is many of subjects covered in them have become true or we’re on the road of becoming true!

The film made it’s world premiere  back at the start of 2021 at Berlin Film Festival via Toronto. It’s garnered some pretty solid reviews with 83% score at Rotten Tomatoes, need I say more?

Night Raiders will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital Platforms from Monday 6th December.
