They say film is an great educational tool, so is Television. One of the best educational TV Shows is Horrible Histories and over the weekend it made it’s cinematic debut.

Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans  sees Horrible Histories gang takes a funny perspective on the history between the Celts and Romans. Altitude Films want to show families it’s the funniest film of the Summer if not the year. They have sent us a couple of new clips to entice you to head to your local cinema.

Atti ( Sebastian Croft) is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn. When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero (Roberts) Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain. Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla (Emelia Jones), a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca (Nash). As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Starring Horrible Histories regulars Sarah Hadland, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Lamb, Jessica Ransom, Tom Stourton, Dominique Moore, Richard David-Caine, Lawry Lewin, Katy Wix, Katherine Jakeways.
