Watch & Listen The Far BETTER New Japanese Ghostbusters Theme Tune

Ghostbusters Japan
In the wake of all the negativity Paul Feig‘s Ghostbusters last thing they needed was a mediocre theme tune like Fall Out Boy featuring Missy Elliott. As we mentioned in our post which featured the song we kept ourselves fairly neutral but this song was the straw that broke the camel’s back for us. We’re still not going to rip the film apart until we see the film, but that Fall Out Boy has left us sweating until tonight. The Verge have discovered on Youtube the Japanese choice of song and some are calling it the song the new film deserves, check it out….

As we know the Ghostbusters themselves in version 2016 are 4 ladies with a comedic background. In Japan 4 comedians — Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, Naomi Watanabe, and Shizuyo Yamasaki decinded to record there own version. It has an mixtures of already seen footage with some new snippets but it’s nostalgic and more close to the film in spirit.

We’re not saying this is perfect but these ladies have a fun charm that’s synth but also contemporary too. It’s like J-Pop meets 1980’s music with the ladies decked out in the ghostbusters gear including proton packs! It’s those Proton Packs that trigger hope is the choreographed dance moves that’s minimal, funny most of all likeable. It’s overall crazy fun making us smile, whilst Fall Out Boy‘s version feels as exciting as starring at delayed screens in a airport.

11th July isn’t far off and the wait will be over and if then Ghostbusters turns out to be a bad movie yes we will comment on the film, with our reasons. But there’s nothing to say this won’t be a decent comedy as Paul Feig does have a solid record. Looking at the current news on the film the negativity might actually work in the film’s favour with potentially a better expected box office turn out.
