Watch Kees Van Dijkhuizen’s End Of Year CINEMA 2011 Review

Kees Van Dijkhuizen has been delighting the masses of cinephiles worldwide online with his fantastic [Films of] series which sadly comes to an end this week but what is traditional this month is the influx of retrospective trailers. It might be the most wonderful time of the year but its the time the interwebs gets its yearly year reviews some text format others just pure video montages only and Kees himself has released his very own version which is frankly one of the best, CINEMA 2011.
This is the time of the year we reflect and remember the forgettable(then forget again), remember the surprises (Fast Five) or relive the great memories of the very few great flicks we were treated to this year and 2011 we got a few. Probably 2011 in cinematic terms will be remembered for the year everyone’s favourite boy wizard finally confronted his fate after 10 long years at Hogwarts school, yes Harry Potter when Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 closed the franchise and is probably one of the top gifts to give film fans world wide too!
Remember Film is for everyone and what might have been a great film for one person might have not been good to others, so lets just enjoy what year has passed everything from 127Hours, Thor,Captain America, X-Men:First Class, Super 8, many more….
A mix of laughs, kisses, fights, tears and everything in between. Here’s what brought us together this year.God, I love cinema. Each year I’m reminded of the sheer force a couple of frames can hold, and it’s something only found in film. It seems to just fly by, and if you don’t pay attention, you might miss it all. A gorgeous masterpiece about one family coping with the end of the world, the portrait of a young man diagnosed with cancer, the end of a ten-year adventure that reached millions, a cynical writer discovering the magic of Paris… No matter how you look at it, 2011 had something to offer for everyone. – Kees Van Dijkhuizen
