They always say we should have hobbies to keep us sane, what if your other half worships a musician would you fall in love with them? In Juliet, Naked that happens and Universal Pictures has released the UK Trailer.
Starring Rose Byrne as a woman stuck in a long-term relationship with Chris O’Dowd who is obsessed by Alt Rocker (Ethan Hawke). After writing a scathing review of the rocker’s demo, her life is changed drastically.
The rom-com was premiered at this year’s Sundance film festival which gives you an indication the films indie roots. The film is also based on another Nick Hornby novel, who is slowly becoming one of the go-to novelists for big screen adaptations.
The film received mixed but mostly positives reviews at Sundance Film Festival, Hornby fans won’t be caring as they just want to see his books on our screens. It won’t winning plaudits on originality, will give the rom-com sub-genre a nice kick to push it in a more positive less generic direction. Most of all it’s great to see three actors Byrne, O’Dowd, and Hawke who don’t usually get much chance to take centre stage to take that limelight.
