All Quiet On The Western Front

Next week at Toronto Film Festival, Edward Berger‘s All Quiet On The Western Front will make it’s premiere. Ahead of it’s debut Netflix have released the chilling first Trailer.

An iconic and influential 1929 book by Erich Maria Remarque. Only a year later to become an seminal film, then in 1979 it became a TV film. Now 2022 we have a new version which is also going to be Germany’s official selection for the Academy Awards in the Best International Feature category.

The book and original film have always been considered ‘anti-war’. Set during World War One we follow the terrifying experience of a young German soldier. Powerful stuff, harrowing, heart breaking and horrific, the trailer certainly gives us chills!
