Watch Captivating Trailer For The Day Of The Jackal Series

SKY has released the captivating official Trailer for the upcoming assassin thriller series of The Day Of The Jackal.

This 10-part series is based on the seminal novel by Frederick Forsyth and the 1973 film of the same name starring Edward Fox in the lead role. This time Eddie Redmayne takes centre stage as our lone assassin alongside Lashana Lynch a British intelligence officer who looks like she’ll match our assassin on every level.

The Day Of The Jackal is a cat and mouse thriller across Europe as Bianca (Lynch) hunts down the assassin known as ‘the Jackal’.

An unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, (Eddie Redmayne) makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake. The series also stars Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as Nuria, someone at the heart of The Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is.

Wider cast includes  Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, The King’s Man) featuring in the role of Timothy Winthrop, Richard Dormer (Blue Lights, Fortitude, Game of Thrones) as Norman, Chukwudi Iwuji (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, The Split) as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams (The Capture, The Crown) as Isabel Kirby, Khalid Abdalla (The Crown, The Kite Runner) as Ulle Dag Charles,  Eleanor Matsuura (The Walking Dead, I Used To Be Famous) as Zina Jansone, Jonjo O’Neill (Andor, Bad Sisters) as Edward Carver, Nick Blood (Slow Horses) as Vince, Sule Rimi (Classified, Andor) as Paul Pullman and Florisa Kamara (Eastenders) as Jasmin Pullman.

The Day of the Jackal is coming to Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK and Ireland on 7th November. If you live in the US, the series will premiere on 14th November on Peacock.
