Watch #Alive Trailer The Latest Zombie Film From South Korea!
Four years after the success of Train To Busan, South Korea unleashes it’s next zombie fix, #Alive. Ahead of it’s release next month in Korea a new Trailer has arrived online and it has English Subtitles!
The film is directed by first time director Cho Il-hyung. It’s adapted from ‘#Alone’ the screenplay of Hollywood screenwriter Matt Naylor, starring Yoo Ah-in (Burning) and Park Shin-hye.
The film we find ourselves in the centre of an an unknown pandemic which has turned most of humanity into zombies. We follow our two protagonists living in adjacent high rise blocks, we first meet Joon-Woo living in isolation, terrified to go out. He thinks he’s the only one alive, only to fund the opposite apartment block Yoo-Bin. The pair attempt to meet up, but walking across isn’t that simple.
The Trailer certainly teases, shows the streets are ridden with walkers. We don’t get teased to what attracts the zombies to feed on the living or what exactly turned them. Survivors are virtually cut off with no clue how bad things are.
We’re promised a twist on the sub-genre and if we go by the country’s previous attempts we cannot wait!

A city is infected by a mysterious virus, which causes the city to spiral out of control. Joon-Woo (Yoo Ah-In) and Yoo-Bin (Park Shin-Hye) struggle to survive in an isolated apartment complex from those infected with the virus. Everything including the internet, phone, and electricity has been disconnected around the apartment.
#Alive is set for an South Korea cinema release from 24th June. As for here in the UK, will all depend on the films success. If we go by it’s previous films, we can expect this one not too distant future at a small screen or even festival near you.
