The Help is based on Kathryn Stockett’s much loved best selling novel, set during the 1960′s Mississippi Civil Rights movement, it is a provocative and inspiring look at what happens when a southern town’s unspoken code of rules and behaviour is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship.

The Help is about relationships between black and white women during a period of time when the colour of person’s skin did matter to some unsavoury individuals its sad nowday’s 55 years after the film’s years  there’s still people who have a problem. Like all good things a few months later the book became a worldwide  success selling 5 million copies in 35 countries around the world from this film studios started to contact Stockett but she had already sold the rights to her close friend film maker Tate Taylor who was clued up on the book and knew the best way to adapt the book to the screen the proper way.
