V/H/S Goes Viral For Third Outing, Film To Head To Cannes

Don’t throw away your video players just yet as the popular horror franchise V/H/S is coming back for the third outing and it’s going viral and heading to Cannes Film Festival too.
In 2012 when V/H/S arrived on the scene, it gave the anthology movie a new release of life , V/H/S 2 arrived it received mixed but still a decent film , most importantly the quality and popularity is high now we have a third film coming. Epic Pictures Group need buyers to make sure the found footage has a home and to get us interested they have released a few morsels of information.
The new film will be called V/H/S Viral with the focus on those fame obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars and overnight internet sensations. This could be a slight departure from the usual format but there is nothing to suggest the narrative of this third film won’t stay with it’s traditional short film format either. Maybe changing the format slightly could help crease over those weak points in the previous films, help the flow of the films work better .
One thing we are certain is V/H/S Viral name will probably change like the previous sequel V/H/S 2 which original had the name S-V/H/S, though the current name works better. So don’t be surprised by the time the film has some buyers we will be calling it V/H/S 3. Epic have also announced the directors Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Nacho Vigalondo (Time Crimes), Marcel Sarmiento (Dead Girl), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead),Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution).
“It’s an honour to bring cutting-edge horror to audiences around the world, and the fact that each film features the work of top genre filmmakers makes this franchise truly exciting, We’re very proud to continue to be a part of V/H/S Viral.” said EPIC Pictures Group CEO Patrick Ewald.
Epic Pictures Group co-founder Shaked Berenson followed “We knew from the moment we saw the first film at Sundance that this sort of filmmaking was something we wanted to be a part of, It’s a great way to showcase the work of genre masters, which is why the V/H/S franchise resonates with horror fans.”
Good Anthology films in genre horror especially are a rare commodity and the V/H/S franchise is one of those rarities and if it follows the basic steps of the previous films we’ll have a exciting film ahead of us.
