UK Trailer & Poster For Journey 2:The Mysterious Island

Nearly two weeks ago The first American trailer for JOURNEY 2:THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND aka Journey To Centre Of The Earth 2 was released 10 days ago and this afternoon the UK version has arrived with the poster. No Doug McClure here or even Brendan Fraser from the first film its The People’s Champ Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson here to layeth the smacketh down on some jabroni’s with Josh Hutcherson returning from the first film with Michael Caine, Luis Guzman bringing some ‘humour’ and Vanessa Hudgens playing his daughter. When the American and UK trailers arrive not long after each other usually most of the times they are the same apart from the films web/ facebook address been different however the UK trailer maybe shorter by 30 seconds we do seem to get more of the story, more action rather than the comedy elements of the American version. As for the poster it shows may have to tread carefully or feel the wraith of some big reptilian creature and that stare from The Rock he has his wrestler’s stare like he’s ready to take someone to smackdown hotel!

Jounrey 2:The Mysterious Island will arrive in UK&Ireland February 10th 2012.

In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” the new 3D family adventure “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist.  It’s a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret.  

 Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest.  Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.

 “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” is directed by Brad Peyton (“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”).  It also stars Michael Caine as Sean’s grandfather, Alexander Anderson, and Kristin Davis as Sean’s mom, Liz Anderson.
