UK Trailer For Boorman And The Devil Drops…It’s Not A ‘Disaster’!

The chaos and heartbreak will be coming to the big screen soon when Blue Finch Film Releasing unearths Boorman And The Devil. Today we glimpse into the chaos in the shape of the UK Trailer.

We do seem to love a good disaster on the big screen. Those disasters don’t have to be ones that see Charlton Heston or Doug McClure saving us from airplanes or earthquakes. David Kitteridge‘s documentary delves into John Boorman‘s ‘career ending’ cinematic disaster The Exorcist 2.

Boorman And The Devil premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival including a visit to FrightFest Glasgow earlier this year. The film documents the troubled production of The Exorcist II: The Heretic, a high-budget, metaphysical misfire that became one of Hollywood’s most famous box-office disasters.

John Boorman was no slouch or nobody, he directed some of the best films of the time, Point Blank and Deliverance. The Exorcist is considered one of the greatest horror films ever, Boorman was one filmmaker who could fill those boots to deliver. What went wrong? Too ambitious for the time? The Exorcist II: The Heretic isa film nowadays has horror fans arguing if it should be considered a cult film. Going by the reviews, this documentary is a must see regardless if you love horror or not.
