Tom & Jerry First Trailer Will ‘Shine Like A Diamond’

Classic Cartoon capers meets live action hybrid as Warner Bros Pictures finally release the first UK Trailer for Tom & Jerry The Movie. That promises to ‘shine like a diamond like Rihanna’!

Over the decades we’ve seen plenty of animation/ live action hybrids with Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Space Jam been the most notable. The ones mentioned are probably the most successful Tom & Jerry are probably one of the most loved rivalries. Recent hybrid films have nothing but forgettable designed in 3D looking horrible, for this one it seems more 2D. This has been stuck in development hell for 11 years, it looks crazy, wacky in the true traditional sense the pair have been doing since the 1940’s!

This one we see Jerry is heading to New York, Tom decides to join him. Of course Jerry’s new home is a hotel. The one new employee (Chloë Grace Moretz,)is attempting to plan a wedding, cue the chaos!

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s “Tom & Jerry The Movie.” The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them.

An eye-popping blend of classic animation and live action, Tom and Jerry’s new big-screen adventure stakes new ground for the iconic characters and forces them to do the unthinkable… work together to save the day.

The film will star also Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost and Ken Jeong.

Tom & Jerry The Movie will be released in the UK and Ireland in 2021, exact date still to be confirmed.
