The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons was only the beginning, this October that sequek you probably didn’t know was coming, Inferno and today we get a look at the film’s first poster. Tom Hanks and Ron Howard reunite for the third time as they bring another illmunati busting iconologist Robert Langdon continues his journey to reveal the New World Order.

Academy Awardยฎ winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown‘s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.

Fans of Browns novels will see ‘The Lost Symbol‘ has been bypassed, with no reason why goign directly to Browns most recent novel which was released a few years ago. It’s probably because Inferno is considered as a prequel to The Da Vinci Code so we’ll see the set up to the original first film. So don’t be surprised if The Lost Symbol might arrive a few years down the line, but that might depend on how this new film does at the box office.

Inferno will arrive in UK cinemas on 14th October, 2 weeks before USA (28th October). The film also stars Ben Foster (The Program), Irrfan Khan (Jurassic World), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Sidse Babett Knudsen (The Duke of Burgundy).
