Tina Fey And Steve Carell Star In New Series The Four Seasons For Netflix

Netflix drama remakes classic film for a series

Tina Fey and Steve Carell will reunite on screen in an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 romantic comedy The Four Seasons.

Netflix’s Tudum reports that Oscar Nominee Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen will also appear in the new eight-episode series. It is created by Fey as well as Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, fellow 30 Rock writers and producers.

The original film follows three couples who holiday together every season. However, when one of the couples divorces, it upends the group. It starred Carol Burnett and Rita Moreno.

Fey told Tudum: “Tracey, Land, and I have talked about the show being a love letter to long-term relationships, both platonic and romantic because your life is ideally more than just the person you’re married to. Sometimes when you’re struggling with something with just your spouse, you need a group of friends to bring humour to it.”

“Those friendships really help marriages, I think. Having a person who just fulfils a part of you that your spouse can’t quite [fulfil] is very important.”

Producers are Alda and Marissa Bregman, while executive producers are Fey, Fisher, Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond.

The last audiences saw Carell and Fey together was when they fronted the action comedy film Date Night (2010).

The Four Seasons is set for release later in 2025.
