What goes up Must come down. There was always that notion they would be coming back , this summer they will be watch Independence Day Resurgence Super Bowl TV Spot. On the night U.S sports fans celebrate Superbowl 50, we get a big game spot that ironically kicks off at a American Football game…

Things go boom in a new explosive TV spot the day the world celebrates our independence, however unwelcomed guests gatecrash the celebration, our alien oppressors have returned!

We always knew they were coming back. After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

20 years after we are finally getting that long awaited sequel, but also a third film which was originally to be made back to back. That plan is suggesting this new film could be setting things up for that third film which could mean an ultimate battle as we fight for our existence. It’s a perfect teaser especially for new fans and blessed with nostalgia for fans of the franchise. The spot showcases the special effects and why Roland Emmerich is a master of destruction, 20 years on those look bigger, creating the buzz.

A lot of the original film was set in the sky, much of it  will happen again in the skies but we’ve learned our Alien invaders will have a ground force too. With our technology is now a Human-Alien hybrid it will be curious to see if we’ve learned enough from 1996 as these guys are bigger, angrier more determined to finish off the job, the human race!

(update – 8th February) 20th Century Fox have sent us a new teaser poster that takes us back to the original film.

Earth’s  Space Defence is lead by Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch. With new faces joining  Liam Hemsworth, Vivica A. Fox,Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward.

Independence Day Resurgence is set invade UK cinemas from 24th June 2016.
