The Queen and The Iron Lady clash in the Official Second Trailer for The Crown Season 4. The upcoming new season for the popular Royal family drama teases things are going to be explosive. As Her Majesty is battling several corners not just from PM Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) but also the arrival of her soon to be new Daughter-in-law Diana (Emma Corrin).
This new promo gives is a first chance to hear the distinctive voice of Margaret Thatcher (Anderson), and the enchanting tone of Lady Diana Spencer (Corrin). Anderson’s version of Thatcher feels terrifyingly cold and she’ll capture the former PM’s dominance, Authoritarian . She’s not scared to challenge The Queen (Olivia Colman)who seems to fear the end of tradition when Lady Diana Spencer. Who shows she offers a contemporary direction for Royal Family to head in whilst they attempt to ‘break’ her.
This suggests the series will have a feeling the end is nigh (season 6), season 4 will be a tension filled, turbulent season…

As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), who is still unmarried at 30. As the nation begins to feel the impact of divisive policies introduced by Britain’s first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), tensions arise between her and the Queen which only grow worse as Thatcher leads the country into the Falklands War, generating conflict within the Commonwealth. While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, behind closed doors, the Royal family is becoming increasingly divided.
The fourth season also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Emerald Fennell as Camilla Parker Bowles and Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother. Charles Dance as Louis Mountbatten, Angus Imrie as Prince Edward, and Rebecca Humphries as Carol Thatcher.
The Crown Season 4 launches globally on 15th November.
