The Postcard Killings Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan Starts Principal Photography

The Postcard Killings the best selling novel written by James Patterson and Liza Marklund, took its first steps to becoming a feature film. This week the filmed commenced principal photography in London and will star The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Connie Nielsen.

Also confirmed today to join the cast are Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story, Allure), Naomi Battrick (Jamestown, A Very English Scandal), Ruairi O’Connor (The Spanish Princess, Delicious) and Cush Jumbo (The Good Fight, The Good Wife). With an international focus, the film’s extensive cast will also include Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049, Devils), Eva Röse (The Paradise Suite, Real Humans) and Joachim Król (Run Lola Run, The Piano Player).

The production will shoot on location across Norway and Stockholm as well.

THE POSTCARD KILLINGS is a chilling crime story, following Jacob Kanon (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a hardened New York Detective, in search of the person responsible for the murder of his only daughter. Across Europe, newlywed couples are being targeted in a string of bizarre homicides that leave the young victims’ bodies looking like copies of great works of art.

James Patterson and Liza Marklund’s acclaimed novel The Postcard Killers sold over 5 million copies worldwide and topped the bestseller lists of The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Entertainment Weekly. James Patterson is the world’s bestselling author and most trusted storyteller. The National Book Foundation recently presented Patterson with the Literarian Award for Outstanding Service to the American Literary Community, and he is also the recipient of an Edgar Award and six Emmy Awards.

Academy Award winner Danis Tanovic (No Mans Land) will direct the film. Good Films’ Miriam Segal (City of Lies, The Infiltrator, Good) alongside Paul Brennan, Peter Calvin Nelson , and Leopoldo Gout (Molly’s Game, Alex Cross) producing. Acclaimed cinematographer Salvatore Totino (The Da Vinci Code, Everest and Bird Box) joins as Director of Photography.

No release date for The Postcard Killings has been confirmed just yet.
