Matthew McConaughey Races To Save Lives In The Lost Bus Trailer

Apple Original Films has debuted the full trailer for The Lost Bus, which you can watch below!

Oscar Winner Matthew McConaughey and Oscar Nominee America Ferrera star in this pulsating new thriller from Paul Greengrass, director of United 93, The Bourne Supremacy, Ultimatum and Jason Bourne. 

Official synopsis:

From director Paul Greengrass and inspired by real events, “The Lost Bus” is a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires as a wayward school bus driver (Matthew McConaughey) and a dedicated school teacher (America Ferrera) battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno.

Apple Original Films unveiled the trailer and key art for its highly anticipated new feature, “The Lost Bus.” The thriller will celebrate its World Premiere as a Special Presentation at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Paul Greengrass and inspired by real events, “The Lost Bus” is a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires, as a wayward school bus driver (Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey) and a dedicated school teacher (Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award-winner America Ferrera) battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno. “The Lost Bus” will debut in select theaters on September 19, 2025, before premiering globally on Apple TV+ Friday, October 3, 2025.

Written by Greengrass and Brad Inglesby, who also serve as producers, “The Lost Bus” is produced by Gregory Goodman, Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions, and Jamie Lee Curtis for Comet Pictures. The film is executive produced by Amy Lord and Lizzie Johnson, author of “’Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire.” In addition to Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson also star in the film.

Set for its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, the film will also debut in select cinemas before its Apple TV+ debut.

The Lost Bus opens in select US cinemas on September 19th, and premieres globally on Apple TV+ on October 3rd.
