The Comic-Con that keeps giving and today Warner Bros. Pictures turn to release its trailer at San Diego Comic-Con. The King is here as the first Trailer for Godzilla 2: King Of The Monsters is now online.
After the mixed reactions(though more leaning towards positive) of Gareth Edward‘s 2014 Hollywood rebooted version, we finally get the follow-up. This film follows the events of the 2014 film as well as a connection to Kong: Skull Island. Edwards, as we know, went on to direct Rogue One: A Star Wars Story leaving the director’s chair free for Krampus director Michael Dougherty now director.
Making her big screen acting debut is Stranger Things Mille Bobbie Brown who looks like she could easily have a major role in this. She plays the daughter of Scientist Dr. Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga) from crypto-zoological agency Monarch. They will be humanity’s last hope against the towering monsters. Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins return from the previous films.
This is the third film in the MonsterVerse which is leading us to a Godzilla Vs. King Kong film. If your a fan of the original Japanese film you will be in heaven! This is The King Of The Monsters, so expect some old foes from Godzilla’s past to appear Rodan! King Ghidorah! Mothra!
The word from Comic-Con this trailer got an amazing reception, some are calling it the best thing from the Con. The scale is scaringly perfect, all hail the King of the Kaiju! Bring the chaos and Summer 2019!
The story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

The film also stars Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, Zhang Ziyi and Anthony Ramos.
No confirmed UK & Irish release date yet apart from 2019 for Godzilla 2: King Of The Monsters. If you’re in the USA 31st May 2019 is the date for you.
