The Emotional Journey Continues In Pachinko Season 2 Trailer

Next month  the emotional journey will continue with the debut episodes of Apple TV+  award winning series Pachinko Season 2. Today the streaming service unearthed the new season’s trailer with Sunja’s time spanning, multi-generational  will sweep online.

Season 2 will deliver a 8 episode season, once again based on Min Jin Lee‘s acclaimed book. Season 1 proved it was one of the best dramas on all streaming services with many awards to back that statement up. The trailer meets a teenage Sunja in Osaka, Japan 1945, living up to her grandfather’s dream for her to the world. However  this year the Americans bombed Japan

The trailer debut also includes a brand new cover of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” by global superstar Rosé of the record breaking K-pop group Blackpink. In addition to debuting as the series’ trailer anthem, Rosé’s cover will be featured in the new season’s finale.

Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, “Pachinko” is a sweeping and deeply moving story of love and survival across four generations, told through the eyes of a remarkable matriarch, Sunja. In season two, the parallel stories pick up in Osaka in 1945, where Sunja is forced to make dangerous decisions for her family’s survival during World War II, and in Tokyo in 1989, which finds Solomon exploring new, humble beginnings.

The first season received 11 international awards including a Peabody Award, an American Film Institute Award, a Critics Choice Award and a Gotham Independent Film Award. Season two stars Lee Minho, Yuh-Jung Youn, Minha Kim, Jin Ha, Anna Sawai, Eunchae Jung, Soji Arai, Junwoo Han and Sungkyu Kim.

Pachinko Season 2 will stream globally on Apple TV+ from Friday 23rd August. The new season will star Lee Minho, Minha Kim, Anna Sawai, Yuh-Jung Youn, Jin Ha, Eunchae Jung, Soji Arai, Junwoo Han, and Sungkyu Kim.
