The Devil Is Back! First Teaser For The Devil Wears Prada 2
The trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has just landed, and the fashion world (as well as the film world) is already abuzz by the return of some favourites. You can watch the trailer below.
From the very first frames, that unmistakable click-click of stiletto heels echoes across the screen, instantly transporting us back into the ruthless halls of Runway Magazine. It opens with Meryl Streep as the indomitable Miranda Priestly striding through an office corridor in those signature red-studded Valentino Rockstuds. (Yes, those are Valentino Rockstuds.)
Gird your loins.
Almost twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.
The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film.
The film is produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and Aline Brosh McKenna. The first film was a huge success, both critically and commercially, and grossed over $326million from a $40million budget.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens in cinemas on May 1st.
