‘It’s A Wrap’ on Denis Villeneuve’s Dune reboot

As we look forward to the anticipated films for the last half of 2019, Denis Villeneuve reminds us what we can look forward to in 2020. Officially his ambitious version of Dune is ‘in the can’ as filming has wrapped. After many years in film wilderness, the new film based on Frank Herbert‘s seminal sci-fi novel is getting nearer.

The filming ended earlier this week and now the film goes into post production. 14 months to be precise, we’re hoping it’s one worth the wait especially as it has Hans Zimmer creating the score!!! Exciting times ahead but we must remember Villeneuves’ first film will only covering the first half of the book. The source for the film is unbelievable. probably why there will be more than one film. HBO Max upcoming streaming channel will be home to the Dune spin-off TV Series Dune:The Sisterhood will be coming too (Villeneuve has helmed the pilot episode).

If Denis Villeneuve does what he did to the Blade Runner franchise, we’re in for a treat! The news of the film wrapping came from Frank Herbert’s son Brian. He announced via his Twitter account and that the cast and crew had a party. They were treated to some interesting cocktails such as Ballad Of Gurney, Mind Killer and Fat Baron!

Dune stars TimothƩe Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Stellan SkarsgƄrd and Jason Momoa. Expect the first film November 2020.

Jeff Bridges Will Be FX’s The Old Man

The year’s we’ve enjoyed Jeff Bridges on the big screen, he’s never appeared regularly in a Television series. That’s all about to change as he’s going to star in FX Drama The Old Man.

According to Variety

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man centers on Dan Chase (Bridges), who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid since. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past.”

Anything with Jeff Bridges is always worthy of a look. Bridges an Rogue cop hunted by Assassins and going one to one hand combat by highly trained killers is mouth watering!. Remember he is the Dude!!!

Watching Moving Tribute To Stan Lee For Avengers: Endgame

September sees the Home release of Avengers: Endgame. There will be a bonus clip on the release which is a tribute to Mr.Marvel comic himself…Stan Lee.

Apart from seeing our spandex superheroes transfer from the pages of their books to the big screen, admiring Stan the man’s endless cameos was essential viewing. This behind the scenes tribute is emotional as Stan chats about the creative talents he’s worked with over the years. Most of all how his luck has lasted so long.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season Two Gets New Trailer

John Krasinski return as the titular CIA analyst, as Amazon releases a New Trailer for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Don’t expect to be teased by any of Season Two’s plot. What the short trailer does do is remind us how action packed the first series was. It also introduces Noomi Rapace to the series…

About Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 2:

As Jack’s investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President’s nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos.

Angry Mother Wants Childess Couples Banned From Disneyland

Disneyland/World are regarded as the greatest theme parks in the world. Not just for families but anyone who has wished upon a star during their lives. Families, children even childless couples are all welcomed to the Magic Kingdom. Apparently not according to one very angry woman who blame childless couples for overcrowded parks.

The anonymous woman thinks these couples should be banned especially millennial couples. They make the lines too long, they spend their money on too many toys and snacks. Thus encouraging parents to buy more, making their kids exhausted and parents totally angry! It’s a chore to go to any theme park, its exhausting very expensive but when you’re a parent it’s heavenly for the kids. That what makes the parents happy when the kids smile and think they are in a child’s Valhalla.

I may live over the other side if the Atlantic in the UK, and its common knowledge. Walt Disney Parks are busy, queues are expected. It sounds like the angry woman her kids are very young, but things get easier as they get older.

Check out her Social media rant…
