The Apocalypse Arrives In Space In Moonfall First Trailer

He’s destroyed our planet several times over, what’s next for the master of the disaster Roland Emmerich? The answer lies in his upcoming sci-fi thriller Moonfall, and we get a look at that film in the first (U.S) Trailer. Nowhere is safe when Emmerich is behind the lens and the apocalypse arrives in space!
The film stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson and The Game Of Thrones star John Bradley. We find ourselves a few years into the future when the moon finds itself knocked off it’s path onto one collision with Earth. A couple of Astronauts (Berry, Wilson) are joined with a conspiracy theorist (Bradley) and attempt to us all.
This film project has been around for nearly five years, gathering dust then delayed thanks to Covid-19. However this one was made during the pandemic and soon Emmerich’s passion project will be with us early next year. This one plays on the ‘fictional’ side of things, is it a revenge film with the moon getting her revenge om humanity?
Whatever you believe in this sounds another crazy doomsday action packed film. The plot may sound too straightforward, there is indication the Moon isn’t what we seem it is!
In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award® winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, “Midway”) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, “Game of Thrones”) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.
The film cast also includes Michael Peña, Charlie Plummer, Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor, Carolina Bartczak, and Donald Sutherland.
Moonfall is set for release in 2022.
