Rebel Wilson has made a name for herself in comedy, next month The Almond And The Seahorse she’ll showcase her dramatic chops. Picnik Entertainment will release the film in cinemas next month, now they release the UK Trailer.
The debate if any of those films the Australian actress has starred in are any good we’ll leave that to personal choice. The last few years Wilson has drastically changed her life especially with the weight loss. This indie drama will provide another challenge into series drama will it be any good?
The Almond And The Seahorse, Wilson plays married woman Sarah who loves her husband. After traumatic brain injury leaving struggling to remember that past love. Meanwhile Another woman Toni (Charlotte Gainsbourg) also going through the same issues as Sarah and in a long relationship. What will the future be like for both, will they be together?
Sarah (Rebel Wilson) is an archaeologist who loves her husband Joe (Celyn Jones) but after a TBI their love is trapped in the past. Toni (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is an architect and loves her partner Gwen (Trine Dyrholm) but after a TBI they have been imprisoned in a fifteen-year loop. Love is the only thing that keeps them all going but something has changed and they need more help. Both women are on a parallel course, both want a future but neither know if it is possible or what that may look like. As Dr Falmer (Meera Syal) puts it ‘they’re the brains I can’t mend’.
The film also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Trine Dyrholm, Celyn Jones, Meera Syal, Ruth Madeley, and Alice Lowe. The Almond And The Seahorse will get a UK and Irish cinema release on 10th May.
