Terry Gilliam’s Lost In La Mancha Getting 20th Anniversary Release
There’s no denying Terry Gilliam as a filmmaker. When it comes to personal projects his determination was unbelievable to get The Man Who Killed Don Quixote made. Next month Lost In La Mancha will be returning to UK cinemas thanks to Blue Finch Film Releasing.
The film is considered an acclaimed cult classic which charts Terry Gilliamโs disastrous first attempt to bring his dream project, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, to the screen. That film was finally was finally released in 2020 with He Dreams Of Giants documentary updating Lost In La Mancha. Which saw a whole new cast with Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce in main roles.

Visionary director Terry Gilliam has a dream. Featuring acclaimed artist and director Terry Gilliam (Brazil, Twelve Monkeys), Lost in La Mancha includes Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) and Jean Rochefort (The Hairdresserโs Husband) and is narrated by Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski). Nominated at the BAFTAโs and the British Independent Film Awards among many others, this beloved classic look at the methods and madness of filmmaking was directed by Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe and produced by Lucy Darwin, the team behind documentary He Dreams of Giants which charted the making of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, finally completed in 2018.
Lost In La Mancha will be released in cinemas and on digital in the UK and Ireland from 15th April.
