Terrence Malick's TREE OF LIFE Trailer Has Finally Arrived

“Unless you love, your life will flash by.”

We’ve been hearing about this movie for ages, will it be made? if so when? is it delayed, etc, etc…. but finally Terrence Malick‘s TREE OF LIFE trailer has now arrived!!! If you where naughty you may have seen the bootlegged prated copy of this movie as it was apparently playing with Black Swan in USA but now thanks to Apple we can now watch the offical crystal clear version. What catches me here is the beautiful cinematography which is stunning and as the movie is following the cycle of life for a eldest son of two boys whose father is played by Brad Pitt in 1950’s America and then its the son again but now moder times hes grown up and played by Sean Penn with his mother played by Jessica Chastain.

Obiviously childhoods of people of around the world where (& are) different so this one does focus on a typical childhood of America and much icongraphy of the decade may strike a chord with many people. If I watched this trailer and didnt read the synopsis or look into any of the movie I would be completely lost on what this movie is going to be about though trailer is doing its job by envoking your interest to discover more about the movie. Looking at the trailer it would be looking at something that has the feeling and inspiration of Space Oddessey, The Fountain, I wonder if the antcipation of the movie is going to be worth the hype behind it.

Tree Of Life doesnt have a UK & Irish release date however its will premiere at next years Cannes Film Festival with the American release targetted for a May 28th, 2011

From Terrence Malick, the acclaimed director of such classic films as Badlands, Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950’s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Through Malick’s signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.
