Cowabunga dude the Ninja Turtles are back! Paramount Pictures have released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem first UK Trailer!

This is the first time in nearly seven years that the Turtles have appeared on the big screen, since the 2016 Michael Bay live-action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. ‘Mutant Mayhem‘ is not a live-action movie; it’s a full-length animated feature. This marks the third reboot of the popular animated TV series, which has been back on Nickelodeon for a couple of years now

The film project has been in development since 2018 when Seth Rogen acquired the rights to it. Rogen is on board for ‘Mutant Mayhem‘ as a producer, with Jeff Rowe, the director of The Mitchells vs. the Machines, directing this film.

Rogen has stated that this film will focus on the ‘teenage’ aspect of the turtle brothers, who have been sheltered from humanity. They are looking for acceptance, making new friends and enemies, all while facing a mysterious crime syndicate.

The heroes in a half shell will be voiced by Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo),  Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo), and Brady Noon (Raphael).

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

The reast of the voice cast includes Hannibal Buress, Rose Byrne, John Cena, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, Natasia Demetriou, Ayo Edebiri, Giancarlo Esposito, Post Malone, Brady Noon. Joining them will be Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Maya Rudolph.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will be in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas from 4th August.
