Last week we premiered the official teaser poster for Disney Pixar’s BRAVE , this week we now have the films official teaser trailer. CARS 2 has just been recently released in USA(July 22nd in UK) and front of the movie Pixar’s 2012 summer movie had its first trailer premiered and what we’re hearing is this trailer was actually alot better than the movie it previewed in front off! Visually beautiful, subtle, smoothly animated and set in a land very close to my heart, in fact im writing this post in the country…Scotland!
The story is based on our central character Princess Merida (Kelly MacDonald) a spirited skillfull archer and daughter of King Fergus played by Billy Connolly. Set in the Highlands of Scotland Merida a determined young woman to make a headstrong, straight up to make her own way in the world and defies a sacred custom which brings turmoil to her Kingdom and she must go on an journey which will make things right.
Having the setting of the animation set in my own country in the highlands in the north of the country does bring a little to a proud eye and the highlands are a perfect setting for any idyllic classic fairytale, its visually breathtaking piece of animation along with ground breaking as its the studio’s first female lead character. Will it be any good? so far the buzz from the movie says it will be but there’s a long way to go before we can find out as the movie isn’t due out until August 17th 2012.
BRAVE which stars the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters,Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.
Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson).Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late
