Sundance Winning ‘We The Animals’ Gets An UK Trailer
Last few years Coming Of Age Of Films have been big impressions at our cinemas. This year is no different with likes of Mid90’s, Beats , next month Eighth Grade and now We The Animals.
Over a year after Jeremiah Zagar‘s critically acclaimed film made its award winning premier at 2018 Sundance Film Festival, Eureka Entertainment has picked up the film’s UK rights. Today they have released the film’s UK Trailer ahead of its Summer release.
A film described as 2018’s Moonlight, a coming of age tale, which is a fresh take on queer identity presented against a unique backdrop. Drawing from his documentary background, director Jeremiah Zagar creates an immersive portrait of working-class family life and brotherhood…

Three boys tear through their rural New York hometown, in the midst of their young parents’ volatile love that makes and unmakes the family many times over. While Manny and Joel grow into versions of their loving and unpredictable father (Raúl Castillo), Ma seeks to keep her youngest, Jonah, in the cocoon of home. More sensitive and conscious than his older siblings, Jonah increasingly embraces an imagined world all his own.
The film actually made it’s UK Premiere at 2018 Edinburgh Film Festival. Andrew McArthur watched the film for us describing it “one of the most distinctive coming of age tales in recent years.” Andrew also compliments the layered performances from its astounding cast including three talented, young first-time actors.
We The Animals stars Raúl Castillo, Josiah Gabriel, Terry Holland, Evan Rosado.
Eureka Entertainment will release the film in the UK and Ireland on 14th June.
