Manga Entertainment will be distributing the movie when it’s set to be released this June. To celebrate the release, we have a UK trailer check it out…

When it comes to wars there is no winners, just a whole lot of suffering and the common man and woman stuck in the heart of the battles suffer the most. This poignant tale has a pain that only a few have felt, a Nuclear bomb.

From the director of Mai Mai Miracle and the producers of Millennium Actress & Tokyo Godfathers. The award-winning story of In This Corner of the World follows a young lady named Suzu Urano, who in 1944 moves to the small town of Kure in Hiroshima to live with her husband’s family. Suzu’s life is thrown into chaos when her town is bombed during World War II. Her perseverance and courage underpin this heart-warming and inspirational tale of the everyday challenges faced by the Japanese in the midst of a violent, war-torn country. This beautiful yet poignant tale shows that even in the face of adversity and loss, people can come together and rebuild their lives.

For many decades the fan base for Japanese animation in UK and Ireland has been gradually growing year by year. It’s wonderful to see many features no getting a big chance to shine on the big screen and many deserve the chance to even if it’s just for one day.In these days of where the future is unknown here in the UK, it’s refreshing to watch something uplifting.

In This Corner Of The World is set for an UK &Irish release on 28th June in selected cinemas, then everywhere else on 30th June. Book your tickets here —> http://www.inthiscornerfilm.co.uk
