“Steve” Holds Off The Amateur In Official Film Chart

Chicken Jockeys  of the world unite Steve stands tall! A Minecraft Movie makes it four weeks atop the Official Film Chart, as The Amateur claims this week’s highest new entry.

The James Hawes-directed action thriller, based on Robert Littell’s 1981 novel of the same name, sees CIA cryptographer Charlie Heller (Rami Malek) restore a vintage Cessna aircraft for his wife Sarah (Rachel Brosnahan) while she’s on a business trip in London. But, when CIA supervisors refuse to act when Sarah is killed in a London terrorist attack, Heller is forced to take matters into his own hands.

Elsewhere, Ridley Scott work Kingdom of Heaven bags a brand-new entry at Number 6. Starring Orlando Bloom, Eva Green and Liam Neeson, the film is set in Jerusalem during the Crusades of the 12th century.

And finally, as How To Train Your Dragon’s live action remake opens in cinemas, How To Train Your Dragon 2 re-enters the Official Film Chart Top 10 (9).
