Star Trek Into Darkness Gets First Official Synopsis
As The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey creeps even closer to it’s UK& Irish release on 13th December so does the official first footage from the eagerly awaited Star Trek Into Darkness which will be shown in the previews as 9 minute prologue. Anyone who knows JJ Abrams is probably one of the best at keeping information close to his chest like the actual plot of the upcoming Star Trek film, but today the film’s Official Synopsis has been released online.
If your hoping to find out what actual villainous cretin Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing you will be very disappointed as Mr Abrams is keeping that secret to himself for a littler bit longer. To be frank this is vague, diving into Prometheus territory not saying that this is a crossover into Ridley Scott’s film but it seems Warner are taking the same approach not revealing very much frustrating fans and probably enticing the rumour mongers among us to speculate. All we know is Benedict Cumberbatch is “a one man weapon of mass destruction” which nearly wipes out Starfleet, he’s going to be Naz-tee! ‘an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization ‘ and ‘With A Personal Score To Settle With Captain Kirk’ still suggests it could still be Khan or Gary Mitchell? Whatever you think (could be someone we don’t know about) it’s look a great film to check out next summer!

Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Noel Clarke, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film will transport into cinemas nationwide from 17th May 2013.
