André Øvredal‘s latest film has been described by the filmmaker as his ‘scariest’ film ever made. A bold statement, Ian Tuason‘s Undertone is another described as ‘Scariest movie you’ll ever hear’. Øvredal is no stranger to the genre with Troll Hunter, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark plus The Last Voyager of The Demeter some of his films.
I don’t drive, I have travelled at night many times, it can be a tense experience. In Passenger it seems that thing following those weary drivers is something demonic. Evolving the van life culture, playing on terror and something you might see is scarier than evil you can see.
This stars Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell and Melissa Leo. We follow a young couple who after accident in their van, something evil may have latched onto them.
Synopsis | After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.
Passenger will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 22nd May.
