"Smiggles!" All Aboard Mark Waters Beatles Time Travel Movie!!

I didnt think I would be saying this in a sentence, Mark Waters the man who directed Mean Girls is apparently in talks to possibly create GET BACK, a time travel Beatles themed comedy!

The  story is about 2 music obbessed guys who want to time travel back to 1996 to prevent John Lennon meeting up with Yoko Ono whom the pair blame for breaking up the Beatles. This sounds like Back To The Future meets Austin Powers (minus the shagadellic main lead of course!) but this was on the 2007 Blacklist and Jason Lee (The Incredibles, Dogma) was considering making this his directoral debut but like many things on Hollywoods black list they seem to disappear into thin air. Though this may sound a ‘Fab’ idea but the thought a movie based on Yoko Ono been the reason for the split of the Fab 4 and with John Lennon now dead Im sure the remaining members as well as Yoko Ono may not be co-operative to the project, im sure Ono owns the rights to Lennon’s usage and I doubt she’ll say yes .

Not alot is known on the actual project but according to Variety they expect Mark Waters to start shooting this summer, at this moment the director has just finished shooting Mr Poppers Penguins starring Jim Carey.
