Smaug Speaks In New The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug UK Trailer

Summer maybe over and a new month starts today but it means is we’re closer to the release of  The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, what better way to kick off with a brand new UK Trailer and hear  Smaug speak!

Whilst it seems some fans are sitting on the fence on the quality the new trailer may sway those doubters a little in favour  of The Hobbit sequel as things do look a little more upbeat, grander potentially more epic. Sprawling armies, Orcs attacks, Dwarves in barrels, giant spiders (shelob?) and the return of many more familiar faces from Middle Earth returning with a few new ones too. The most notable is the return of Orlando Bloom as Legolas with glimpses of that love interest between Legolas and Tauriel  Evangeline Lilly, there is also a chance for Luke Evans to show off his credentials as Bard The Bowman.

The attraction of this new trailer the first chance to hear the dragon speak, that’s Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch).Will it be Khan doing his best impression of Bane? You wont see the fire breather and yes what we hear is a cameo but it still gives us the heevie jeevies!It looks like The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug will be like what The Two Towers was to Lord Of The Rings, it will be the Business end type film this is when the big players will arrive.

Along with the spanking new UK  trailer it’s also banner day for The Hobbit sequel with 5 new banners arriving for Bilbo (Martin Freeman), Bard (Evans), Legolas & Tauriel (Bloom & Lilly), Gandalf (Ian McKellan) and Thranduil the Elven king (Lee Pace). The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug will arrive in UK& Ireland on 13th December starring Richard Armitage, Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, John Bell, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen,Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Graham McTavish, Michael Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Ken Stott, and Aidan Turner.
