Sin City 2 To Shoot Summer 2011, Machete 2 To Start April Says Robert Rodriguez

SXSW Festival is under way over in USA and last night Robert Rodriguez was on stage live last night and made a few meaty announcements. The director was at the festival to announce the launch of his new animation production company Quickdraw Productions which has already two full length features in production at the moment and the company will specialise in CG animated films right up to family friendly films but what this company will probably give the director the platform to make that long awaited Heavy Metal remake.

We do look on with keen eyes on what Quickdraw will offer in the future but the bigger news especially if your a fan of the directors work that Sin City 2 is coming as is Machete 2! THR have revealed Sin City 2 a film that teasing is over and shooting for the eagerly awaited sequel will start sometime this Summer  but before then Machete 2 is ready to start next month!!!sin

Nothing is known just yet what Sin City graphic novel(s) the film will be based on  same as if Dame To Kill For could be the novel, a story that’s cropped up , “Sin City 2 is primarily an adaptation of the book A Dame to Kill For,” said Frank Miller last year. “It also features the short story, Just Another Saturday Night and two new stories, one involving Jessica Alba’s character, Nancy Callahan, that I came up with for the movie in order to tie things together and make it be more united with the first.”

Everything is in early stages, so no rumoured cast members at this stage but Senor Rodriguez will certainly have a few of Latino’s top stars, but we don’t really care at this stage just need to know this isn’t another dead end.
