“She’ll totally f**king beat evil” – The tagline of the Crimson Bolt’s(Rainn Wilson) faithfull female sidekick Boltie played brilliantly by Ellen Page in James Gunn’s SUPER. As usual in alot of superhero movies its the sidekick who seems to be the more badass hero causing sometimes more damage than the main hero and Boltie is one of those. The buzz from this movie especially from the American bloggers,websites has been fantastic and now its starting to rub off over here in the UK & Ireland though we have no word yet of a release date but American fans can watch it from April 1st when itsreleased by IFC Films.

When sad-sack loser Frank sees his ex-addict wife willingly snatched by a seductive drug dealer, he finds himself bereft and wholly unable to cope. But soon he decides to fight back under the guise of a DIY superhero called Crimson Bolt. With a hand-made suit, a wrench, and a crazed sidekick named Boltie, the Crimson Bolt beats his way through the mean streets of crime in hopes of saving his wife. The rules were written a long time ago: You are not supposed to molest children, cut lines or key cars; if you do, prepare to face the wrath of the Crimson Bolt!
