See A World We Can’t See In The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Trailer

Tomorrow might be the last time we’ll see Bella & Edward on the big screen (probably until its rebooted)a big whole is now left in the young adult market but next summer that gap maybe filled thanks to The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.Just when you thought The Hunger Games would dominate (possibly still) Cassandra Clare‘s popular novels The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones next summer will make their debut on the big screen and tonight the first trailer is with us.

Lily Collins is the latest young actress to Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence book to film heroines she plays Clary Fray an average teenager bored with the life she’s leading who discovers she is a descendant of of a line of Shadowhunters. They are a ancient line of young half-angel warriors who have been protecting our world from demons for a very long time and she starts to see a world normal humans can’t see. The shadowhunters introduce Clary to a nasty world filled with demons, vampires, werewolves, warlocks various nasty cretins there also a young handsome Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower) too.

2013 is going to be a big year for young adult films with Catching Fire, Divergent, Beautiful Creatures all coming but will The Mortal Instruments stand above the rest and challenge The Hunger Games? This film is new to me but it’s films or books like this film that make you feel old (evn in my 30’s!) when you ask a teen relative have you heard of the book and the and you get a sarcastic reply, you know your old! Get with the times Uncle Paul! The Mortal Instruments :City Of Bones seems to be one of those films you can with an influence in many previous films from Twilight, Buffy, Percy Jackson to even Van Helsing and it does look positive at the moment for my first look at the unique world.
