Sam Mendes’ 1917 Gets New ‘Technical’ IMAX Poster

Without going into much detail or spoilers, Sam Mendes 1917 it’s one  that should be seen on a big screen like IMAX. Today now have a ‘Technical’ Poster that shows IMAX is the true format that the film should be watched in. The design is simple shows a scene from the film with box around it. Box representing cinema’s traditional format and full poster the expanded aspect ratio for the entire film. Which means IMAX delivers audiences up to 26% more picture than any other cinema.

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers— Blake’s own brother among them.

1917 is directed by Sam Mendes, who wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Showtime’s Penny Dreadful). The film is produced by Mendes and Pippa Harris (Revolutionary Road, Away We Go) for their Neal Street Productions, Jayne-Ann Tenggren (associate producer, Spectre), Callum McDougall (executive producer, Mary Poppins Returns, Skyfall) and Brian Oliver (Rocketman, Black Swan).

A cast of many including George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Strong, Richard Madden, Colin Firth, Andrew Scott, Daniel Mays, Adrian Scarborough, Jamie Parker, Nabhaan Rizwan and Claire Duburcq.
