In the first decade of this century a certain tall lanky london Jewish man made a name for himself on Channel 4 comedy Show Ali G Show which was simply the benchmark for inappropriate Comedy. From this show 3 characters all legendary in their own rights from wannabe white gangster Ali G to Kazakh News reporter Borat, to Austria’s Gok Wan but more camper Bruno. That man is Sacha Baron Cohen and this summer probably his wackiest probably most offensive character yet THE DICTATOR will be unleashed, now watch the first trailer released by Paramount.
It’s hard to believe this is the same we’ve just seen in Hugo, soon in Tarantino’s Django Unchained proving he can act sensibly. Don’t get me wrong there is some jokes in here but this film will push the boat for some sensors as well. Jokes about USA been the birth place of aids, Megan Fox as a prostitute and a John C Reilly 9/11 Joke will have a few people choking on their caviare. This is the first trailer rough around the edges let’s see how it progress.
THE DICTATOR is a story about “the heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed”. The film also stars Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, Anna Faris, Megan Fox, B.J. Novak, Kevin Corrigan, J.B. Smoove, Aasif Mandvi and will arrive in UK&Ireland May 18th 2012.
