Our writer Andrew caught Mississippi Grind at it’s world premiere at Sundance describing the film as a film kept together to the strong performances of Mendelsohn, Reynolds. Our sister site Cinehouse writer Scott Clark caught the same premiere also delivered similar view. What both agreed was Mendelsohn’s standout magnetic performance reminding us how good the Australian actor is whilst not a perfect movie but great to see him finally get a lead role he truly deserves. If you enjoyed The Gambler you’ll enjoy this with Mississippi Grind heads above the Mark Whalberg film with a big slice of Robert Altman americana.
