Robin Hood First Trailer ‘There’s Been Whispers Of A thief…’

He is a hero of the people, the bane of the establishment, this November there will be whispers of a thief, Robin Hood. This Autumn will see the return of the original man in tights Robin Of Loxley. He’s graced books, TV shows, and Films for hundreds of years, so how can 2018 version be different?

It’s been around 8 years since Ridley Scott’s disappointing version of Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe. Now it’s time for another version, with Taron Egerton hand over the crossbow to become the legendary Archer renegade. Will Errol Flynn be turning in pride or turning in his grave cringing?

The iconic character like many previous screen icons gets gritty, grounded, action-packed, stylised. Zack Snyder would be envious but after the truly awful Guy Ritchie’s Diamond Geezer King Arthur, will they be cautious? Possible future franchise with younger rising star Egerton in lead?

Below is the first UK Teaser Trailer for Robin Hood, which sets up the story which fans of the story will be familiar with. He meets his mentor Little John (Jamie Foxx) and that he may be an early day inspiration to Bruce Wayne/ Batman. The test will be trying to deliver something never really seen in previous renditions. What that will be, your guess will be good as mines, it looks addictively fun, silly. Is it me, does the action scenes look a little bit like Assassin’s Creed?

Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

The sheriffs (your local cinema)will demand your tax when Robin Hood arrives in the UK, Ireland and the USA on 21st November. The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin and Jamie Dornan.
