Rise Of A Mexican Cartel In Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico Trailer

From Pablo Escobar to life after Escobar, Narcos moves countries to Mexico for Narcos: Mexico. Like many stories they all come to an end and Narcos is building on its empire with season one with the birth of the Mexican Drug War. A dark blooded history one that sees us go back to the 1980’s.

Diego Luna stars as the Drug patriarch, Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo with Michael Peña as Kiki Camarena. The Undercover DEA officer with the dangerous task of taking Gallardo’s empire down. A brutal regime which we’ll quickly learn why he’s nicknamed the “Rockefeller of marijuana”.

Netflix has released the Season One official Trailer with teases this series will be fast-paced. It looks a series you don’t have to have seen the previous seasons start afresh. There is a series of images released too, check them out below…

Narcos: Mexico will explore the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, beginning at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. Witness the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes the helm, unifying traffickers in order to build an empire. When DEA agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined. As Kiki garners intelligence on Félix and becomes more entangled in his mission, a tragic chain of events unfold, affecting the drug trade and the war against it for years to come.

Narcos: Mexico is produced by Gaumont Television for Netflix. Eric Newman is Executive Producer and showrunner. José Padilha, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard are Executive Producers.

The cast also includes Aaron Staton, Alfonso Dosal, Alyssa Diaz, Clark Freeman, Ernesto Alterio , Fermin Martinez, Fernanda Urrejola , Gerardo Taracena, Gorka Lasaosa, Guillermo Villegas, Horacio Garcia Rojas, and Jackie Earle Haley.

Narcos: Mexico will launch globally on Netflix from 16th November.
